This past weekend was the air show. It started on Friday and ended on Sunday. Friday was open to military and schools only which was nice because it was a lot less crowded. Saturday and Sunday it was open to the public and it lasted pretty much all day long. I could hear the F22s and other planes practicing a couple of days before the show began and those are some LOUD jets. They would fly right over our house which was cool to see.
Before I get started on the air show, here are some recent things/pictures of what Brayden has been doing.
This was taken today during Bryan's lunch break.
They were talking to each other.
Brayden was not at all sleeping through the night
this past weekend because he was so hungry. I think
being outside in the humidity made us both a little
dehydrated and I couldn't keep up with him so I
bought some rice cereal and here he is eating it.
It's a green color because I put his vitamins in it.
Without his vitamins in it, he eats the cereal very
well-he eats it all (despite what the movie and
picture show). I feed it to him before bed and he's
been sleeping better. Thank goodness he likes it!
He is sitting in a little chair that straps on to
our kitchen table chair, which is nice because
we don't have a huge high chair to worry about.
We got this little chair at a garage sale for $5!
Bryan and Brayden after a very long day of
church.
Ok, now it's time for air show pictures. I was
going to have Bryan do this post so he could
name all these planes and stuff but he's got a
lot to do so it'll have to do without knowing
what kinds of planes they are.
Even though it's not very sunny, it was so
incredibly humid which is why I think that
Brayden and I might have gotten a little
dehydrated, even though I drank lots of water,
which apparently wasn't enough.
This one is a really big plane. (If you can zoom
in on this, you can see Brayden's sad face).
This is the same plane-in front of the jet engine
I guess you could call it.
This one was my favorite helicopter. It looks
really cool from the side and for some reason
we don't have a picture of that. This one is
actually a Navy chopper.
Bryan and Brayden sitting in the cock pit of a
different helicopter. There are millions of dials,
buttons, controls...
Here they are again in the same chopper.
Bryan was outside and stuck his arm inside the
front of the chopper and took this.
Brayden was asleep in his stroller and Bryan
took him out to check out this helicopter (I think)
and he just kept on sleeping! Someone from the
flight crew stands there and shoots this
gun from the window.
Another cockpit. This is the cockpit of a C-5, a massive
airplane capable of carrying tanks and a large crew of people.
Bryan in an Army tank.
Here are the Thunderbirds. These ones can
get really loud too.
Here is a short video of the Thunderbirds.
It's hard to keep up with them when taking
pictures and videos. I couldn't do it, so Bryan
took all the pics and videos.
This is how close they are to our house. The
bottom left plane is the F22 (the really stinken
loud one). And Bryan adds really stinken COOL!
I didn't see this but I guess a jumper had this
flag when he or she jumped from the plane. It
is a pretty big flag. If he remembers correctly
it is the biggest flag ever flown while parachuting
This was taken in our front yard.
